Who We Are
VoiceCite ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered content platform that helps founders create expert-led blog content. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Account data: Email address, password (hashed), and Google OAuth token if you sign in with Google.
Website data: Your website URL and publicly accessible content we scrape during onboarding (homepage, About page, blog posts). We use this to build your brand voice profile.
Brand profile data: Logo, brand colours, fonts, and your answers to the brand voice interview questions.
Content data: Blog ideas, outlines, drafts, founder Q&A answers, and any edits you make within the platform.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app (via PostHog analytics).
Payment data: Billing information is processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment details on our servers.
CMS credentials: WordPress application passwords you provide to enable publishing. These are stored encrypted and used only to publish content on your behalf.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the VoiceCite service
- Generate content in your brand voice
- Send weekly Q&A prompts and product notifications via email
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Analyse usage patterns to improve the product
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Third-Party Services
We share data with the following services to operate the platform:
- Stripe (payments)
- Resend (transactional email)
- Anthropic / OpenAI (AI content generation — your prompts and brand context are sent to these APIs)
- PostHog (product analytics)
- Hetzner (infrastructure and file storage)
- Cloudflare (CDN)
Each provider is bound by their own privacy terms.
Data Retention
We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Changes to This Policy
We will notify you by email and in-app notice if we make material changes to this policy.
